Wrenching

What time is it?

Fixing something that was missing on Brandywine's dash

It turns out that Kawasaki's Ninja 500R, known as the EX500 and Gpz500R in the rest of the world, does not come with a clock. How am I supposed to know how long I've been riding? Worse yet, how do I know that, after telling my Very Significan Other that I was going to buy a quart of milk, it's not two weeks later?

The answer: buy a $3.99 LCD clock at Canadian Tire and install it on the dash. It's attached with an hook-and-eye strip, so I can remove it when I wash the bike.

Of course, the real solution is to buy a VFR Interceptor. They come standard with a clock...
