On May 23rd, on assignment for the Ottawa Citizen, I attended the openning round of the Canadian Superbike Championship series, where Ottawa racer Andrew Nelson won the Supersport 600cc race, aboard a factory Honda CBR600RR. Calgary veteran Clint McBail was second on the Suzuki GSXR-600, while 2003 Supersport champion Pascal Picotte came in third on his Yamaha R6. (I'd like to publish that story on this site, but then I'd run into huge copyright issues. And since I want to remain as their freelance all-things-motorcycle specialist...)
