You have to understand that my nickname, out here in the ether, is "Corbeau", which is French for Raven. Why the "grand" then? In a word, what you know as a raven is, in Latin, Corvus corax, which is "grand corbeau" for French naturalists. The "corbeau" without qualifier is a Corvus brachyrhynchos, the American (or Common) crow.
